At the zenith of the year, Garden of Tomorrow presents SOLSTICE - an intimate festival held at Trematon Castle in Cornwall. Shaped by the land, timed by the sun, and curated by Nature. 100% of profits will be donated to EarthPercent, and the Sounds Right Conservation fund (led by Museum for the UN).

SOLSTICE recognises Nature not as a backdrop, but as Artist, Muse, Composer and Source - and music and dance as the universal language of the living world.

Led by NATURE, SOLSTICE brings together an extraordinary group of musicians, creators, storytellers and thinkers whose work is helping reshape how we understand our relationship with the living world. Across the weekend, these voices will share performances, conversations, workshops and collaborations - exploring creativity in dialogue with Nature and imagining what a truly nature-centric culture could look like.

SOLSTICE’s audience brings together a tribe of cultural voices - ‘gardeners’ who are planting new seeds to shift the cultural narrative and create better futures. 

With attendance intentionally limited, this is a place where connections are made, new ideas take root, and collaborations continue long after the festival ends.

Through music activations ,workshops and conversation we will share ideas, reimagine futures, experiment, collaborate and celebrate - creating a unique moment where culture, creativity and the living world meet, lit by the energy of art, activism and our collective imagination. 

This is much more than a festival programme. It is a living experiment in a different cultural paradigm, where beauty and responsibility and joy can coexist. A space where artists, thinkers and creators explore what it means to create futures with Nature.

 At the turning of the sun, we gather in the edenic gardens of Trematon Castle to celebrate the living world.

SOLSTICE takes place within the gardens of Trematon Castle (3.5 hours direct train from London Paddington to Saltash), perched high on a hill overlooking the Tamar Estuary- in a Garden described by The Times as “the most beautiful in Cornwall”.

Originally built shortly after 1066, Trematon is a surviving Norman motte-and-bailey castle, its ancient stone walls holding nearly a thousand years of history. Beyond the castle gates lies a world within worlds: ancient woodland, and wild gardens where history and Nature exist side by side - a powerful juxtaposition of human story and living ecosystem.
